PokerRoom.com has seen some interesting changes through the course of the past month. The site has gone from hosting banners to other online real money poker websites, to messages that could potentially indicate the return of the website to its glory days.
PokerRoom.com was one of the first websites to offer players the chance to take part in poker online for real money. It has been hailed as one of the original poker websites, while developing the online poker system for Mac players, when it wasn’t available through any other poker website.
The first change that we have seen through the poker website was a change from the banner that directed players to PartyPoker, to a banner that indicated that the website was going to be going ‘back to the future’. For many players, this meant that the website might indeed be going back to its glory days, and making changes to accommodate the online game play that had been absent for nearly two years of PokerRoom.com being offline.
The ‘back to the future’ teasing banner was only exacerbated with an announcement made via twitter that was recanted after it had been online for nearly a day. The tweet announced that the popular website, PokerRoom.com was coming back online for players to play cash poker at – and was quickly removed after bwin’s SEO manager was bombarded with questions from the announcement.
Finally, the website has gone from an ‘under construction status’ to a maintenance mode where the site states that they are working as quickly as possible to get the site back up and running.
Could this ‘maintenance mode’ be an indication that the website is getting ready to reveal something big? Perhaps that the website is going to be back up for players to play at one of the greatest and original poker websites?
